The Revitalization Plan created by Simone Collins actively engaged the community of Pen Argyl to re-envision appropriate new ways to capitalize on the Borough’s unique history, architecture and dramatic landscape within the “Slate Belt” region of Pennsylvania. SC prepared recommendations for community actions that will integrate housing, parking, commercial investments, recreation, and transportation improvements with ecologically sound, adaptive reuses for the large quarry ponds and mine tailing yards along the southern side of the Borough.
