SC led a multi-disciplinary team to analyze the 100-year old, 187-acre diabase rock quarry that was dug to below sea-level, and to help Mercer County to develop an ecological restoration program that will to transform the former industrial site into a 21st century Mercer County Park. SC guided stakeholders through a partnership visioning process to reach consensus on a preferred rehabilitation strategy which ‘fills’ the quarry as a reservoir to create a water-based park. SC was also retained by Mercer County to the prepare the documents for the park construction.
